WHAT SAY — Terms & Conditions

1. Use of the App

WHAT SAY is provided for personal, lawful use. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with functionality, upload harmful or illegal content, impersonate others, or violate applicable laws.

2. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create or submit. By using the app, you grant WHAT SAY permission to store and process content as necessary to operate features you use. You are responsible for your content.

3. Accounts & App Access

User accounts: opening soon. Not required for current test builds.

Account access (sign-in, sync across devices): opening soon. When available, you are responsible for keeping login credentials secure.

App access (optional paid tier): opening soon. Best starting price: $4.99/month or $39.99/year. When launched, app access is managed through the Apple App Store. Live interpreter stream, video ASL interpreting, and live captioning may be included when those features launch—and may extend to connected professional business or agency apps. We will disclose what is included before you are charged. Billing, renewals, and refunds follow Apple's policies. Manage app access in your Apple ID → Subscriptions settings. Prices may vary by region.

4. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable experience but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, pause, improve, or be removed—including beta gloss, audio, and play-style tools.

5. What WHAT SAY Is Not

• Not ASL and not a replacement for certified interpreters—especially for medical, legal, mental health, or emergency situations.
• Live interpreter stream, video ASL interpreting, and live captioning (coming soon) may connect through our professional business app, agency app, state programs, or third-party relay services where available; availability depends on your location, program eligibility, and partners—not guaranteed in every state.
• Not a replacement for families or schools teaching ASL.
• Tone, speaker, and gloss outputs are guesses—not facts.

6. Disclaimer

WHAT SAY is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific results.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WHAT SAY and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Use is at your own discretion and risk.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
